My hypnotherapy clinic focuses on improving your well being and making you the best you can be. My area of interest is in anxiety and enhancing cognitive and sport performance. My interest in the sub-conscious’ ability to overcome anxiety led me to undertake a PhD through UNSW where I am currently researching ‘The effect of startle and surprise events on pilot’s cognitive performance.”

I hold an airline pilot license with 10,000 flying hours. During my career as a pilot I witnessed colleagues suffer severe anxiety when entering the simulator to conduct their biannual check flights. These check flights are very rigorous and intense. If you fail a check flight you are grounded. Fail twice and you lose your job. Pilots would experience vomiting, diarrhoea or tightness of breathe. Hypnotherapy allows pilots to remain calm allowing them to think clearer and have more confidence.

17 years ago I smoked a packet a day. I tried to give up numerous times using willpower and patches. I could stop easily but as soon as someone around me smoked, I caved. My life was a seesaw of smoking and withdrawal, with the associated mood swings. After seeing a hypnotherapist I never again wanted a cigarette. I no longer crave cigarettes nor despise them. I just became oblivious to them. I now help others attain the same freedom from smoking as I did.

I am a registered professional member of the Australian Society of Clinical Hypnotherapists, Australian Hypnotherapists Association, and the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association. I hold all the required insurances.
